Custom Home Builder
This blog is about high end custom homes. I will share some photos and the level of craftsmanship, that goes into them. I have over 15 plus years of residential building experience. I will also talk on this blog about some typical home owner and builder relationships. You can expect some straight forward advise and warning signs to watch out for. I will mainly be showing pictures of past projects that my company has completed.

Hand Scribed Solid Wood Inlays In concrete
The picture above is a cut out or releif that was nothced into a concrete floor. This was done to allow us to install a hand scribed hardwood material. The hardwood of choice was a tight vertical grain doug fir solid 5/4 by 4" wide. As you can see the cement does not cut perfectly with out some small chiping.
http://millworkcustominteriors.com/ Remodels and New Construction. In this above pic you can visually see how the wood was scribed to the cement. You can almost say that it looks like it grew there, the fit was perfect for this application. This was not a single sided scribe, but was actually a double side scibe. These were over 18' long a had to be as perfect as humanly possable.

Radius Interior Steps & Custom Milled Railings
This area of the home was a remodel that we widend these set of steps to actually make the room fell more inviting. All work performed by M.C.I. (828)702-0351
Here we actually milled Alder hardwood material and with our shaper machine to the specs of the home owner. wrought iron pickets mortised into Brazilian cherry solid 3/4 flooring. We also have created a raised panel for the belly band between the basement and main level.
This is a good shot of the pickets and how precisely we installed them. This is a very sturdy rail section.
A Professional Carpentry Company, Millwork Custom Interiors 828-702-0351 This set of stairs was built with moving furniture or beds in mind. If you have room for wider steps you will be glad you have them. It will actually make any basement feel more apart of your home.

This is the front shot and it shows a full size truck easily fits in this custom built garage by Millwork Custom Interiors. This was part way through the job.
This is a side and back shot of the window and our supports in tact.
This is just after we installed the rafter trusses.

Framing A House
A Professional Carpentry Company, Millwork Custom Interiors 828-702-0351 This is a picture of my boy and a project that my company framed. He likes to see what daddy is building. When framing an exterior wall, shown here it is always a good idea to use 2 x 6 construction, rather than some homes is see that only used 2 x 4 walls.
